Cannon Beach

Hi it has been a while since I had last blogged so I thought that I should start again with a
place I go a lot.Cannon Beach, Oregon. Ever since I have remembered my family has been
going to this family friendly place every summer for a family tradition. There is the Beach,
the wind for flying kites, anything you do in this place you will have a great time!

                Sunset in Cannon Beach

   The Beach
Cannon Beach has a long strip of beach right by the ocean so you can play there ,fly kites
,or even have a camp fire to roast marshmallows. You can even play a great game of Hide
and Go Seek. Now I know what your thinking hide and go seek on a beach well there is not
only sand there are (BIG) patches (HUMONGUS) of grass everywhere. Have fun at the beach.

    Town
Now in Cannon Beach there is not just beach, but there is a small town with restaurants like
Fultano’s Pizza, Bruce’s Candy Kitchen, Bill’s Tavern and Brew House, or My Favorite The
Lazy Susan. They even have a Theatre there that shows many different shows for the
whole family.

               The Surfsand Resort

Hotels
Also the hotels in Cannon Beach are amazing! When my family goes we stay at a hotel called
Surfsand”. It is by the windy beach, it has a pool (if you don’t want to go in icy cold salt water),
and if you want to have a bon fire with friends you just sign up and they will do the rest.

So I hope someday you will get to go to this amazing paradise Cannon Beach. Where the fun is unlimited!

Ways to Get through Traveling

Hello! I know it has been a long time scence I have blogged and now
I have finally got around to it.This weeks blog is about how to get
through the long plain rides and car rides.

  1) Bring a mp3 player (zunes, ipods ,ect.)
  2) If you bring a zune or ipod you could also wacth videos on them.
  3) Bring Games and Gaming systems (Cards, DS, DSi, ect.)

          Zunes
Zunes are wonderful little devices that you can take anywhere you
want. Best of all they are mp3 players and you can wacth videos on them.
Plus they have games that you can play on them. And the software is really easy
to use .You can buy music off of amazon and it will go straight to your collection
of music on the zune software.A bunch of my relitaves have one and everyone
in my family do to. WE LOVE ZUNES! I know when you get a zune you will love it.

        Ipods
Ipods are exactly like zunes but are harder to use. The software is sort
of complex and it takes a while to load. But all in all they are a good system
and okay mp3 players. And you can not download music from zune market
place and itunes like zune can.

        DS(i)
DS’s are wonderful small portable gaming devices that you can choose what
game you want to play. And if you get a DSi you can connect to the internet
and download games so you can play them whenever you want. There are
thousands of games to choose from that you can buy for $20-$30 at any
location that sell video games (like Gamestop,Game Crazy and more).

I hope this helps you get through long plane ridesand I hope it helps
some little kids get through them too. Come back again to see my
next blog entry.

Domestic Traveling

Hello people of earth and thank you for coming to my blog. This is my secend post.
Today I am going to continue last’s week post, but I am doing it a little diferent. Today
I will talk about Domestic travel (travel in your neighborhood)! Again here is my list

of places I will talk about :

  • Geocaching
  • Parks

First I will give a summary of Geocaching

If this is your first time hearing about geocaching and your thinking "What the heck is this boy talking about", let me tell you it is a real live scavenger hunt outdoors, and all you need is a GPS (with the ability to find coordinates) and your own mind. To get started go to this website http://www.geocaching.com . Here you can choose wich geocache you would like to do and find all the geocache’s in your area.

Lastly I will talk about Parks

Parks are great places to go with younger children, for a picnic , or if your lucky see a concert. Parks some times have a whole varity of things you can do. Some parks have rock climbing, biking trails, geocache’s, a playground, and sometimes more. These are the most famous parks in the U.S.

  • Yellowstone National Park
  • Mt Rainier National Park
  • Mt St Helens National Park
  • Grand Canyon National Park
  • Mt Rushmore

That is the end of this week’s blog.
I hope you come to see next weeks blog. Tom Out!

Family Traveling

Before I get started I think you should get to Know a little about myself.

Hi, my name is Tom and I am 9 and a half. From the time I could crawl I have loved to travel. I love the adventure of exploring new places and discovering the world beyond. I am always thinking about my next trip. The internet is a terrific tool for those who love to travel. I find most of my information for places I want to travel there. I also talk to people about places they have traveled and what they liked the most about their trip. I hope you enjoy your travel experiences and will share what you learn along the way with others too!

Have you been wanting to travel, but you just don’t have time to plan? Then I can help you out.
I know where to go with children of many ages. I know where to go for romantic
evenings or a place to stay while you get away from home. Or just a trip for the fun of it.

My first Blog will be about Family Vacations. Here is a list of the places I will talk about :

  • Disneyland, CA
  • Disney World, FL
  • Palm Springs, CA
  • Any of the Great Wolf Lodges (WA, NC, TX, KS, OH (2), WI (2), PA, VA, MI, and CANADA)

Here are my tips for Disneyland :

  • There are many hotels around the park that are cheap, but very nice (If you stay at one of those hotels you will have to walk into the park).
  • The California Adventure park has a lot of rides for tall people (maybe 1 or 2 days for family’s with small children).
  • Instead of buying park hopper tickets buy regular tickets and choose which parks the tickets are for and what days the ticketts are for before you go.
  • My favorite mini park is  Tomorrowland (just letting you know).

Here are my tips for Disney World :

  • Stay at the moderate resorts in the park (cheaper).
  • If you have a verizon wireless phone download an app called "Mobile Magic" ($10.00 , but worth it). This app has wait times, park hours, weather and more.
  • Buy Tickets For Cirque Du Solei early (there show is called La Neuba).
  • Take free transportation from the airport (disney bus).

Here are my tips for Palm Springs :

  • Stay at Hyatt Regancy Grand Champion Resort (in Palm Desert located right outside of Palm Springs).
  • Take your kids to Knott’s Soak City Waterpark and to The Living Desert Zoo.

     Hyatt Regancy Hotel:

  • Activities for kids on weekends (like movies by the pool)(in spring/summer).
  • WARNING : NOT CHEAP

Here are my tips for Great Wolf Lodge :

  • Let Your kids Play MAGIQUEST
  • Try all slides in waterpark
  • Stay for at least 2 nights
  • It is super fun, kids will not want to leave!

That concludes my tips for today, but here are some links:
